{"id":202,"date":"2015-02-02T17:22:00","date_gmt":"2015-02-03T01:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/2015\/02\/felt-tic-tac-toe"},"modified":"2016-04-13T18:28:49","modified_gmt":"2016-04-14T01:28:49","slug":"felt-tic-tac-toe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/2015\/02\/felt-tic-tac-toe\/","title":{"rendered":"Felt Tic Tac Toe"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/felttictactoe4.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/felttictactoe4.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nWe always need less TV in this house. &nbsp;Games are a great alternative, and nothing&#8217;s simpler then good old tic tac toe. &nbsp;I made a little felt game board and pieces this week for my kids. &nbsp;Olivia is not quite old enough to really get the concept, but it&#8217;s good for the big kids to patiently play with her and teach her the rules. &nbsp;<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/felttictactoe3.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/felttictactoe3.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nAll you need is a little felt, some scissors and you can either sew the game board pieces together, or just glue them with felt glue. &nbsp;I cut two squares of felt. The bottom white piece is 16&#215;16&#8243; and the top black piece is 14&#215;14&#8243;. &nbsp;And I also cut 5 each of the Xs and Os out of the white felt (I&#8217;ve got a printable template for the those <a href=\"https:\/\/app.box.com\/s\/ft179t8ceg51rcyodpv4y5zapj26d61v\" target=\"_blank\">HERE<\/a>). &nbsp;<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nTo make the grid on the board, I sewed back and forth with my machine in pink thread. &nbsp;You don&#8217;t even have to sew in a straight line. &nbsp;I like the imperfection of the overlapping stitches. &nbsp;And if you don&#8217;t want to sew at all, glue is always an option, but you&#8217;ll need to glue some strips of felt for a grid as well.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/felttictactoe2.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/felttictactoe2.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>I also stitched on a piece of ribbon to one side of the board, so that the board could be rolled up for storage. &nbsp;Because all the pieces are felt, they stick together well. &nbsp;Just place all the X&#8217;s and O&#8217;s on the board before you roll it up and they will stay put.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/oleanderandpalm.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/felttictactoe7.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em;
